G-TAC Software

G-TAC Software is a startup and we build business software, tools, and hybrid apps.
Our portfolio will grow over time and we will run a blog with helpful tech articles about things we've learned.

Software

We've built these products:

  • A NTFS permissions reporter called FolderSecurityViewer.
FolderSecurityViewer is a tool to analyze and report NTFS permissions to get all effective security owners of your data.
  • A .NET Printing Library for managed access to winspool.drv functions to manage your print servers called PowerPrint
  • Open-Source: A HTML Canvas Editor called DrawerJs.
A JavaScript library for easy freehand drawing and creating sketches with simple shapes.
  • Open-Source: A Image Uploader with Client Side Editing called ImagerJs.
A JavaScript library for uploading images using drag & drop. Crop, rotate, resize, or shrink your image before uploading.

About Us

Who are we?

G-TAC Software was founded by Carsten Schaefer. We are a team of software developers distributed over various countries.
We work in a loosely coupled team and try to build products that delight our customers.

What do we do?

We are developing tools for Microsoft Windows® environments.
Further we've developed a variety of tools and components, two of which are DrawerJs and ImagerJs. Because we invested a lot of time crafting those components, we decided to offer these libraries to the open-source world.

Additionally, we've developed a NTFS permissions reporter FolderSecuritysViewer to analyze Microsoft Windows® security rights on file systems. We find this tool to be incredibly helpful to analyze NTFS permissions and to generate NTFS permissions reports. We think you might like our FolderSecurityViewer, too.

Because we are disappointed about the lack of the Microsoft Windows® prnadmin.dll to save and load printer configurations we decided to develop our own .NET Printing Library for managed access to winspool.drv functions.
